Customer Support and Services Manager
About AUT Solutions Group
AUT designs and manufactures robotic inspection equipment used in the petrochemical, power generation, and aerospace industries. AUT was established in 2008 and is now a world renown company in the non-destructive testing (NDT) industry. AUT is based west of Houston in Fulshear, TX.
About the Role
Manage and lead the service side of our operations which includes in and outbound equipment repairs; repair and part quoting; creating and managing operational workflows; customer equipment and software support via phone, email or online remote access; inside sales support.
To help us achieve our goals, below is a glimpse of what your first year would look like:
- Within 30 days: You will be introduced to the AUT product line. Perform basic quotes, be apart of some customer service interfacing and be trained on basic equipment and operations
- Within 60-90 days: Helping our customers in sales, service, and support while gaining more training on the AUT product line which will involve hands-on repairs and evaluation. Have a full understanding of our operational workflow and begin coming up with your own ideas to present to management on how we improve or become more efficient
- Within 6 months and beyond: You will be tasked with overseeing all customer service and support duties. You will have gained enough training to support our customers via phone, email or remote access with any technical questions they may have. Work with upper management to create and lead the service department
Job Location and work type
- Location: Fulshear, TX (west of Houston)
- Full-time employment
- 8am to 5pm work hours
Specific Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Become an expert in the NDT industry and on all AUT Solutions product offerings
- Hands-on repairs for product training purposes
- Product evaluation and repair quoting
- Providing technical customer service via phone, email or online remote access
- Support inside sales efforts
- Able to identify customer needs, propose solutions and close orders
- Able to promote our products in competitive selling situations
- Other duties as assigned but not limited per the official job description
Qualifications
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Mechanically inclined with an understanding of machinery and technical documents
- Leader that can inspire others and lead by example
- Must be proficient with computers
- Excellent organizational, analytical thinking, troubleshooting, problem-solving and decision-making skills
Compensation
- Salary based on experience
- 40 hours week minimum
- Paid PTO time
